In 2006 walking around Helena, AR during the Arkansas Blues And Heritage Festival 2006 I came across this young lady with the amazing hairstyle and an even more amazing voice. A few years later it seems she hit the big time but in 2006 she was working as a street musician for the festival. I’m still amazed that I saw and appreciated Valerie June before she became the international star she is today
